Community Engagement

The Community  Committee looks at ways that the Parish Council and the Community can work together.

We welcome contact from community groups that offer activities within the village, or organisations that promote Bishop’s Cleeve: we will add your details to our Clubs & Organisations and What's On pages and use them in leaflets and forthcoming initiatives being planned by the Parish Council - please e-mail our office if you would like to be included.

Charities and organisations that benefit the residents of Bishop’s Cleeve may be supported by the Parish Council in terms of funding, resources, facilities, publicity or Service Level Agreements. Over the last few years we have supported many local causes with funding and resources. Please see the link below for further details on how we may assist organisations and for an application form.

The Parish Council have looked at strategies to support vulnerable adults and young people Keeping Safe. This is linked to the Gloucestershire Keep Safe Scheme.  Information about the local community police team can be seen here.

Gloucestershire County Council and NHS Gloucestershire also manage the 'Your Circle' website which is specifically for adults and older people who are looking for a network of trusted people, places and services to support their independent living. Community Connexions run community transport across the county, helping less mobile people retain their independence and freedom.

The Gloucester & District Citizens Advice Bureau  offer a free drop-in service at the Parish Council Offices, 10am to 2pm, each Monday of the month.

Parish Updates and Annual Reports can be seen at this page, while a number of community engagement related documents adopted by the Parish Council are below.
