Youth Council 

The Parish has a Youth Council which meets on the  first Sunday of every month from 5.00-7.00p.m. in the Parish Office.  The

council, open to anyone aged from 11-19 years old, provides an opportunity for younger people to have a say in what happens within the village and gain valuable and transferable skills.   Follow the Youth Council on Facebook:  or, to get in touch, email:

Young People's Award

The Parish Council launched an annual Young People's Award, last year, to highlight the achievements of young people in Bishop’s Cleeve.  The Council recognises that many younger people  make a valuable contribution to the community in various ways through, for example,fundraising, being a carer, volunteering,overcoming a barrier including illness or disability, helping others. 

There are four award categories for 2019: 

 * Junior Award for 6-13 year olds; 
 * Senior Award for 14-19 year olds;
 * Group Award
 * Special Recognition Award. 

Each winner will receive a £100 voucher of their choice and there will be a £50 voucher for the runner up, as well as a small
trophy to keep. The winners will be invited to attend the Annual Parish Meeting on 23rd April 2019 to receive their awards.

If you know of anyone who deserves the award, please complete a nomination form which can be downloaded below.  All nominees must live within the parish at the time of their nomination. The closing date is 29th March 2019.

2019 Nomination Form

Youth Provision 

The Parish Council's youth provision is changing from 1st April 2019.  A range of summer 'full day fun day' activities, such as Stage School, Arts and Crafts, Mini Olympics will be held for two weeks during August, offered free of charge to young people aged 5-15 years of age.  Whilst there will no longer be any youth clubs, Play Gloucestershire will continue to delivery a Wednesday activity session (4.00 - 6.00p.m.) at Sunrise Avenue.

The Parish Council also supports a boxing club, for young people aged 13-18, to learn self- defence  through boxing  training.  The sessions for beginners, run by a professional trainer, are held in the Community Building on Friday evenings.  For more information, contact the Parish Office   on  01242 674440.

Grants  have been given to 
Bishops Cleeve Colts Football Club to enable more training sessions to be held at the Sportsfield Astro.
